The class that I took at the gym last night is alternating 3 minutes of cardio, with 3 minutes of strength exercises. Love. it.
Anyway, at one point, I found myself thinking, "just one more minute, you can do it". And then I thought to myself, if I can do this for one more minute, why can't I do something for just one more... whatever.
Because kids grow up one milestone at a time.
You get to the freeway one stoplight at a time.
So, I can totally do this one choice at a time. One day at a time. One week at a time. One pound at a time.
And then it doesn't seem quite so overwhelming.

That's what I'm talkinabout SISTAH!
I had the same realization when I started doing the super hula hoop on the WiiFit a few weeks back. I thought I'd try the 10 minutes "just to see how far I'd get" and then I watched the clock and after I did 2 minutes - I thought why the hell don't i just go 3 more minutes and see what happens? Pretty soon, I did it! Then I had to do the next five minutes the other direction. And I did that TOO! Was it hard? Yes! Did it hurt? Yep! BUT I DID IT! and it didn't kill me.
Just one day at a time! Next thing you know, someone will say something like "wow, you have shoulders now" which was said to me recently.....
I came across your blog on one that I follow. I to am like a turtle. I am losing 1 to 2 lbs a week and that is alright by me. You just picked up another follower... Us turtles have to stick together...
Amen sister! I did spin this morning. I was so close to not going... but I did... and that's what counts.
That's very true!! You can do it one step at a time. =) You will do it.

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. =)
